BTW Girls 41, Bullock County 29

On Nov. 17, the Booker T. Washington High School Lady Eagles kicked off their 2017-2018 basketball season against the rival Bullock County Lady Hornets. The Lady Eagles took an early lead to secure a big win 41-29. BTW’s leading scorers were Tahtyana Piner with 17 points to go with 11 rebounds, and Naya James and Dashayla Robinson with nine points each.

LaFayette 63, BTW Girls 49 (OT)

On Nov. 28, the Booker T. Washington Lady Eagles traveled to LaFayette to play the Lady Bulldogs. BTW battled hard the first half with several players in foul trouble. However, the Lady Eagles managed to score 11 points in the fourth quarter with two minutes left in regulation to force overtime. BTW continued to fight for its second win but fell short with a final score of 63-49. Leading the Lady Eagles in scorering were Naya James with 21 points, Daejah Bailey with 10 points to go with six assists and Nastassija Jackson with nine points.
