The Notasulga Blue Devils opened up their five-game home stand by losing to the Beauregard Hornets on Thursday, Jan. 4, 67-63. Leading the way for the Devils was Walter Tatum with 30 points and nine rebounds. Also contributing to the Blue Devil effort were Anterio Ware with 12 points, two rebounds and two, along with Markendrick Ware with seven points and five assists.

Central Hayneville 47
Notasulga rebounded from Thursday night's defeat to soundly defeat Central High School (Lowdnes County) of Hayneville 71-47 by making a remarkable 75 percent of their free throws as a team.
The victory raised the Blue Devils record to 2-9 on the season as five players scored in double digits.
Leading the way with 24 points, eight rebounds and four steals was Walter Tatum.
Cousins Markendrick and Anterio Ware both poured in 13 points each. Markendrick added five rebounds and three assists while Anterio had six assists.
Fred Stinson and Tyree Edwards both contributed 10 points, respectively.
Edwards added eight rebounds to his stats while Stinson added three rebounds and three steals.
The Blue Devils continue their home stand by opening up area play versus Wadley on Thursday, Jan, 11 and on Friday, Jan. 12 versus arch-rival Loachapoka.
Notasulga will complete its home stand with a non-area match-up against the Valley Rams on Tuesday, January 16.
Tuesday, Jan. 16 will be senior night where the Blue Devils will honor their seniors: Fredrick Stinson, Markendrick Ware, Kevondre Woods, Walter Tatum, Jon Temple and Rodrick Zeigler.
